Mr. Mans Cornbread & Honey Butter Recipe

This recipe is just too simple to be that good. The honey butter is sweet and rich with the right amount of honey flavor to compliment the cornbread. The cornbread is more of a southern & cake like style rather than the kind you make out of a box. You can tell it’s homemade because of the soft & rich texture. This recipe is definitely easy to make and great tasting.

Cornbread Ingredients

- 1 ¼ Cups of All- Purpose Flour

- 1/3 Cup of Sugar

- ¾ Cup of Cornmeal

- 2 teaspoons of Baking Powder

- ¾ teaspoon of Salt

- 1 ¼ Cups of Milk

- ¼ Cup of Shortening

- 1 Egg

1. Preheat oven to 400 degrees F.

2. Combine Dry Ingredients in Medium Bowl.

3. Add Milk, Shortening, & the Egg to dry ingredients.

4. Mix until all the ingredients are well mixed but don’t over mix.

5. Pour batter into a greased 8X8-inch Pan.

6. Bake for about 25 minutes or until the top is a golden brown.

Honey Butter Ingredients

- 1 Cup of Butter or 2 Sticks

- 2/3 Cup of Honey

Add together Honey & Butter in mixing bowl. Use a mixer on high speed to whip the honey butter together. Butter will be smooth & fluffy.
