Nutrisystem Review: Week 6 Progress

So this week had a mix of results some good & some really really really bad :( I started exercising at the speed I can do but I cheated really bad. You may notice a certain review I did that involved food? I just couldn't help myself because it was so good. I also went out to Pizza Hut because I was on a roll with cheating.

But the exercising felt good & I should do better this week since I am now back on track. Below are the results of my backslide but I will just move on from that little incident. Also I have some exciting new exercise program I will be getting into plus some tips for everyone!

Height – 5'3"
Current Weight – 153lbs 8oz
Waist: 37 1/4 inches
Goal Weight – 120

First Week 2/8/2011
Lost: 3lbs 4oz
Current Weight: 150lbs 4oz
Waist: 36 1/2 inches

Second Week 2/15/11
Lost: 1lb (16oz)
Current Weight: 149lbs 4oz
Waist: 36 1/2 inches

Third Week 2/22/11
Lost: 1lb 3oz
Current Weight: 148lbs 1 oz
Waist: 36

Fourth Week 3/1/11
Lost: 1lb 1oz
Current Weight: 147lbs
Waist: 34 1/2

Fifth Week 3/8/11
Lost: 1lb 4oz
Current weight: 145lbs 12oz

Sixth Week 3/15/11
Lost: 0 (I really thought I would have gained weight?)
Current Weight: 145lbs 12 oz

Total: 7lbs 12oz
 

Below are some tips that I was sent

Nutrisystem Tips for Vacations & Traveling while on the Program
•Bring your collateral with you – i.e. meal planner and on the go meal planner for your purse dining out guide etc.

•Sit down prior to vacation to choose restaurants to eat out at that have a variety of foods to choose from and that give you healthy options. Just be honest with your travel buddies that even though you are excited about the trip and can’t wait, you still want to stay on track with the program.
•Be sure to review the dining out guide and what’s a good meal choice
•When dining out, remember that it’s okay to order the food cooked the way you want (i.e. salads with certain things not on the salad or on the side, steamed veggies( no oil) etc., grilled not fried etc). It’s okay to even let them know you have food restrictions and they will be sure to accommodate you
•Bring Nutrisystem with you --- the pantry ready muffins, bars, snacks/desserts etc. Even though you won’t be 100% on Nutrisystem, if you bring the items that can be packed, it will help you stay on track and not be as anxious
•When eating out, if the portion size is too big (protein sizes should be no more than 6 – 8 oz – about the size of your palm) immediately ask for a to- go-box and put half in the box before eating. That way you don’t overeat and have leftovers too
•Share items with your travel buddies …like dessert. I always do this with my husband  That way you get a little taste without overindulging.
•Try to always go for salads as an appetizer and to get all your nutrients in and to help you feeling full longer.
•When I go away, I try to be active – do activities where you walk around and keep busy
•Drink water with all your meals – with a nice slice of lemon or lime J
