CLOSED: Giveaway: Sargento Ultimate Adult Grilled Cheese Sandwich

How can we still enjoy this classic childhood favorite as a grown up while ditching the mundane, processed ingredients of our youth? Cut from 100 percent, natural cheese and never made with processed ingredients, Sargento cheese is the “grown up” ingredient for the “Ultimate Adult Grilled Cheese Sandwich.” To help inspire your readers’ path to delicious re-discovery, here are a few Sargento creations reminiscent of everyone’s favorite sandwich.

Grilled Mediterranean Sandwiches

Ingredients

1/2 cup butter, softened, divided
12 slices crusty Italian bread, divided
1/2 cup ranch dressing
12 slices Sargento® Deli Style Sliced Provolone Cheese, divided
1 jar (12 oz.) roasted red peppers, drained and cut into large pieces
1 small green bell pepper, thinly sliced
1/2 cup sliced pitted kalamata or ripe olives
1 large tomato, thinly sliced
1 small cucumber, thinly sliced
Directions
1.Spread butter over one side of each bread slice. Heat large grill pan or non-stick skillet over medium heat. Spread butter over one side of bread.
2.Place 6 bread slices on griddle, buttered sides down. Top bread slices with dressing, cheese, peppers, olives, tomato, cucumber, remaining cheese and bread slices, buttered sides up.
3.Cook over medium-low heat 4 to 5 minutes per side or until golden brown and cheese is melted.
Swiss and Beef Grilled Cheese Sandwich

Ingredients

8 slices French bread
4 slices Sargento® Deli Style Sliced Swiss Cheese
1 medium tomato, cut into 8 thin slices
4 oz. thinly sliced lean deli roast beef
2 Tbsp. mayonnaise
1 Tbsp. Dijon mustard
1 tsp. chopped chives or finely chopped green onion tops
Directions
1.Top 4 bread slices with half the cheese and all the tomato and beef slices. Top beef with remaining cheese and bread slices.
2.Combine mayonnaise, mustard and chives. Spread mayonnaise mixture on outside of sandwiches.
3.Cook in large skillet over medium heat 2 minutes per side or until light golden brown.


Italian Grilled Cheese Sandwich

Ingredients

2 slices Sargento® Deli Style Sliced Mozzarella Cheese
2 slices Italian or sourdough bread
1/3 cup roasted red peppers, rinsed and dried
Fresh basil leaves (optional)
1 Tbsp. Italian salad dressing
Directions
1.Place slice of cheese on slice of bread; top with red peppers and, if desired, basil leaves. Place remaining cheese on top; close with slice of bread. Brush dressing over outside surfaces of bread.
2.Heat non-stick skillet over medium-low heat. Cook sandwich 3 minutes per side or until golden brown and cheese is melted.
